Acquired by Tokyo Industries Ltd in 2010, Stonebow's Fibbers was treated to a "much needed" £250k refurbishment, updating the sites facilities with design by Ben Kelly and cutting edge audio installation by Funktion One.
Eighteen years old and one of the most iconic grass roots live music venues in the UK, Fibbers stands in the heart of one of the most beautiful and historic world heritage sites. a moments walk from the Shambles in the Yorvik city centre, Fibbers has seen everyone from Nirvana to Nine Inch Nails... Shed Seven to Oasis... play the venue. For 2010 we are overhauling the whole space, increasing its occupancy and adding state-of-the-art Funktion One sound, increasing the club night agenda whilst driving the live program." - Tokyo Industries

Fibbers X Toft Green
After 22 years of residence within York's brutalist Stonebow House, Fibbers relocated to Toft Green in September 2014.
The Toft Green site, another Tokyo Industries venue acquired in 2010, formerly 'Tokyo York' and 'Toffs', underwent a £500k development the divide the space into a new 860 capacity venue, a traditional bavarian beer hall 'Stein Bier Keller York' and partitioning the first floor space into Black Orchid Whiskey Lounge, York's largest gentlemen's club.
